The first of the series are images of the 'Grote Kerk' Maassluis, Holland. Here I have tried to simplify the image further and further. Number 6 turned out to be pure geometrical Art Deco. A further simplification would, in my opinion, lose the essence of the object. Does this mean this type of Art Deco is the most elemental representation of an item?

The next is a series of three depicting the mill 'de Hoop' in Maassluis, Holland. Built around 1700 it stands atop the dike protecting a large part of the Low Countries
